Pilgrim’s Moy Park
Surpasses 2020 Sustainability Goals
To conserve environmental resources, optimize compliance and enhance credentials, Moy Park established seven environmental 2020 commitments based on 2010 baseline data, several of which have already been met.
In addition to other key sustainability accomplishments, Moy Park surpassed its 2020 water use intensity reduction target of 20 percent in 2017, three years ahead of target. In 2018, the business achieved a 32 percent water use intensity reduction compared to its 2010 baseline.
Furthermore in 2018, Moy Park was commended with a top Platinum Level result for the sixth successive year in the Northern Ireland Environmental Benchmarking Survey, the leading independent accreditation of its kind for Northern Ireland companies. The survey, carried out by Business in the Community’s ARENA Network and supported by the Northern Ireland Environment Agency, annually assesses top businesses for environmental management, performance and assurance.
Lastly, in recognition of the business’ strong commitment to waste reduction, Moy Park won the Investors in Zero Waste 5 star rating in 2018. This award was achieved through the Craigavon site’s OSCAR (Online Segregation, Collection and Recycling) project team, building on last year’s 3 star rating.
